  • 🍷  Tramonto DiVino: raise your glasses to taste the nectar of Romagna
On several summer evenings in July, the boulevards of Milano Marittima leading to Rotonda 1° Maggio, as well as the little squares of Cervia and Cesenatico by the canals, light up with the sparkle of glasses that tell the story of the land: Tramonto DiVino showcases certified wines and flavours from Emilia-Romagna. There are multiple stops and dates, and at each one the tastings begin around 7:00/7:30 pm with themed counters, over 1,000 wine labels and guided samplings of regional PDO and PGI specialties. The vibe is relaxed — perfect even with kids (soft drinks for them, of course πŸ˜‰).

  • 🍯 A week as sweet as honey: live extraction, markets and workshops
In Cervia in August, honey takes centre stage: live honey extraction, tastings and small honey markets, plus herbs and natural products. Events are spread across Piazzetta Pisacane — with children’s workshops; along Viale Roma and in Piazzale Ascione — with extraction demos and stalls piled high with honeys to take home; and at Casa delle Aie — for tastings. Most activities run in the evening (from 6:00 pm) with demos into the late hours, plus meet-ups and entertainment for all ages: a gentle, fragrant, curiosity-sparking festival that’s great for kids too.

  • πŸ§‚ Sapore di Sale: the “Rimessa del Sale” and stories of “white gold”
In early September in Cervia, Sapore di Sale reconnects with tradition: the “Rimessa del Sale” re-enacts the transport on the burchiella — the salt workers’ typical boat — along the canal to the Salt Warehouses. Between Piazzale dei Salinari, Darsena del Sale, San Michele Tower and the old town, this traditional re-enactment mixes talks, exhibitions, show cooking and tastings (by reservation), markets and performances. Events run over several evenings (from 6:30 pm), with highlights that light up the city and delight young story-explorers.
